Moorland Cottage Plants

Moorland Cottage Plants is located in the upland region of the Pembrokeshire National Park. We are positioned at an altitude of 700 feet on the northern slopes of the Preseli Mountains overlooking open hillside and an unbroken 7 mile tract of acid moorland. All our plants are grown outside and as a result are completely hardy.

The garden is managed organically. We do not use chemical pesticides, fungicides or slug pellets. This means the plants we offer are good, tough, slug and snail proof varieties. The garden provides propagating material for the nursery.

We offer a wide range of cottage garden flowers, including hardy geraniums, potentillas, geums and crocosmia to name a few. Moisture loving plants are well represented with a range of astilbe, filipendula, primula, rodgersia and iris. Shade plants are a speciality with extensive collections of ferns, dicentra, symphytum, persicaria and grass like plants to complement these. We also grow a wide range of ornamental grasses and some bamboos.

Our full catalogue is available online at www.moorlandcottageplants.co.uk

The garden is open for the National Garden Scheme during the summer. All proceeds are donated to the NGS.

We are located on the main B4329 and are mid way between the sign post to Brynberian village and the cattle grid for the open mountainside.
